Below are a range of frequently asked questions in relation to the Australian Junior Championships (AJCs).

When are the Australian Junior Championships?

The 2022 Australian Junior Championships will be held on the following dates:
U20 & IB – Tuesday 19th April to Sunday 24th April 2022
U18 & KCC – Sunday 10th April to Sunday 17th April 2022
U16 – Sunday 3rd July to Sunday 10th July 2022
U14 – Sunday 25th September to Friday 30th September 2022

Where are the Australian Junior Championships?

The 2022 Australian Junior Championships will be held in the following locations:

U20 & IB – Mackay, Queensland
U18 & KCC – Ballarat, Victoria
U16 – Warwick, Western Australia
U14 – Sydney, New South Wales

When will the fixture be available?

The 2022 Australian Junior Championship fixtures will be released on the following dates:
U20 & IB – Monday 28th March 2022
U18 & KCC – Monday 21st March 2022
U16 – Monday 6th June 2022
U14 – Monday 29th August 202

Do I need to buy tickets to attend the event?

Yes, all spectators will need to purchase tickets to attend the event.

Tickets for each Championships will go on sale on the same date as the fixture release, as listed below:
U20 & IB – Monday 28th March 2022
U18 & KCC – Monday 21st March 2022
U16 – Monday 6th June 2022
U14 – Monday 29th August 2022

The ticketing categories are Adults, Concession/Student (Must show card on entry), Child U16, Child U6 is Free but must have a ticket for Covid tracing reasons.

Will the games be live streamed?
All games from the U20, U18 & U16 Australian Junior Championships will be live streamed. Some games at each of these Championships will also be shown on Kayo Freebies. Links to these platforms will be provided closer to the Championships.
Can I buy Australian Junior Championship merchandise?

Official Championship Merchandise will be available for purchase at the venue each day from our partners at iAthletic.
Pre-orders are also available for pick up at the event via www.iathletic.com.au

Can I take photos & videos at the event?
With the protection and privacy of our participants and vision rights partners in mind, anyone wanting to use a camera is required to have a CAMERA PASS during the Championships.
All cameras are required to be signed in at the front desk on arrival and agree to the Photography policy.
No video cameras are to be used throughout the stadiums for filming by anyone in the public. No flash photography is allowed, and Basketball Australia requests all photography must be taken from your seats in the grandstand.

Note: No attendee is permitted to video full games or use tripods, monopods, gimbles or similar devices.
How do I apply for media & scouting accreditation?
With the protection and privacy of our participants in mind, all media and scouts must be signed in and accredited with Basketball Australia.
